The Ethics of Network Marketing

Why should a network marketing company be ethical in its operation?  My short answer is that what makes a network marketing company “ethical” is also what keeps it legitimate and legal.  So, what is it?  What makes a network marketing company ethical or legitimate?  It is often not clear cut, but these applicable legal standards have been in use for decades. To survive scrutiny, a network marketing company and its income opportunity must:
1.            Involve the sale of a real product or service;
2.            Not require a commissioned fee solely to participate;  and
3.            Maintain operational integrity.
Product or Service
The product or service must have real value to end-use consumers who are not affiliated with the company.  Further, the product or service must actually be sold regularly to non-participant buyers.
It is, of course, an acceptable practice for participants to purchase the company’s products or services for their own use or to accumulate an inventory of products for ready resale, so long as the inventory quantities remain reasonable and the company adheres to acceptable product return and buyback policies.
Fee to Participate
Another name is a “headhunting fee,” which is a payment required to be made by a prospective participant for the right to earn compensation, of which compensation is derived from the recruitment of others who also pay the fee. There cannot be a fee to participate, other than an at-cost starter kit purchase requirement.
It is a central element of virtually all statutes defining what is an illegal “pyramid.” The key to understanding this issue is that, to be legitimate, a program must focus on selling products or services.  It must not engage in selling the right to participate in the income opportunity for a fee.

Operational Integrity
Many companies have been attacked because of their failure to maintain operational integrity—that is, rigid adherence to acceptable standards of business practice. Some standards applicable to network marketing include:
1.    Product advertising: Many laws regulate both content and performance claims for products and services, whether those claims are made on labels, in sales literature, on web sites, or orally by independent resellers.  These laws are enforced by agencies at all levels of government and generally require that all claims regarding performance be truthful and accurate and capable of substantiation by competent evidence.
2.   Program advertising: There are specific laws governing the making of income claims. These restrictions apply to specific earnings representations, such as the display of checks, sales and recruiting projections, and lifestyle profiles. Accuracy and truthfulness are a must.
3.  Sales field enforcement: Well-managed companies impose and enforce upon their sales force legal and ethical standards of conduct. These include the product and program advertising standards described above, as well as customer protective requirements, such as use of retail sales receipts and adherence to return policies. Regulators have made it clear that a company will be held responsible for known independent participant behavior in violation of such regulations.
4.   Home office legal compliance: Network marketing companies, like all business enterprises, are faced with a further array of laws and government agencies regulating many aspects of their internal office operations.  These include hiring and payroll practices, employee safety, taxation, accounting, and financial affairs.  Network marketing companies must meet unique customer service criteria in the form of product returns and inventory repurchase policies.  Competitive market pressures have caused most large and successful companies to provide their product users with some form of personal satisfaction money back guarantee.  Those that fail to conduct their internal operations in compliance with the standards imposed in this environment are at significant exposure to damaging, perhaps fatal, regulatory attack.
The commitment to ethical marketing starts at the top and goes all the way down to the very newest participant. The long-term viability of the company requires it, drives it, and ultimately is the glue holding everything together. Slip ups in ethical behavior hurt everyone and must be immediately addressed, so those watching from the outside see what we know on the inside—it will not be tolerated.

Why Twitter is just a wasted opportunity

Was to mark the great revolution in 140 characters. But in that regard, it is little left.

Let's face it. We believed. We also overrated too. Twitter, the micro blogging father of the revolution, who suddenly finds herself coming to terms with the entropy generated by users of the platform. The result? The chaos. An uncontrollable disorder.A drift towards futile arguments, devoid of substance, devoid of any content of value.
The noise, that is. Much. A lot. Just take a look at the trending topic to realize the arguments that pull on the social network. Forget the suggestions from those who have it sold as the revolution of micro journalism Duepuntozero . Thou hast believed more reliable release that are not us users. The basic impression is that that golden mythology that has arisen in recent years about Twitter is being gradually deflating. You do not need some kind of social media pundits to realize that on large numbers has become a kind of global public chat. Chatter in the pure state.Fertile ground for battutari serial and jabs at political turn to show off with some screenshots on Facebook. I'm not saying it's wrong. It 's just a fact.
Not relegated to a marginal issue to the people who one chooses to follow.You are totally out of the way because restringereste the scope to a niche subject that constitutes a non-representative sample of all users, losing sight of the overall trend. That then Twitter will serve to inform, I'll pose the question in another way. Reviving mostly what we all read in the popular online newspaper, perhaps, does not mean just "making news" in the strictest sense of the term.

The great revolution in 140 characters has not caught on. And maybe Twitter in practice is only a wasted opportunity.

Of this application it was spoken for months. Since a year ago Twitter had aquisito We Are Hunted . The service in question was a kind of search engine that scoured the net to identify the hottest music of the moment. Of course, as in any acquisition by good tradition that respects, you can buy skills and are buried services.We Are Hunted no longer exists. But something like this is going to be integrated into Twitter with the new service # music .
"And 'out of the question that Twitter and traveling together to the great music. The artists have chosen Twitter as a primary channel to stay connected with their fans and people share and discover new songs and albums every day. We can not wait to show you what we're working on. "

For now beyond the reach of the service on the home-pagemusic.twitter.com you know little or nothing, apart from the fact that it should run on a separate app from Twitter. That would not be exactly the best because it is easier to keep users glued on an app that not two. # musicshould allow users to watch music videos from Vevo (just as is done on YouTube) and listen to music on SoundCloud. The goal for Twitter is to try to monetize tracing a business model similar to that used by Spotify. The application should reach on the various App Store by Friday.

Twitter and the case of Henry Mentone: Why you should never give in to the herd digital

In the end it went. The machine gun was strafed. "Henry Mentone abandons Twitter" sudden becomes national news. Among the most widely read in the newspapers online. He looks like he took it very badly. It unleashes on her Facebook page addressing the digital herd in recent days that he assaulted on the social network of 140 characters. He calls them "factoids" of Twitter. He explains his reasons and immediately unleashed a hell of reactions.

The multiplier effect of Twitter can have devastating effects. If someone started to run certain statements to nothing pleasant about you, you are also assured that the digital champions of justice, always on the hunt for glory miserable on social networks, will look forward to ride the wave and let loose the full cavalry on him. None of these, however, that ever a shred of intelligence or care to ask in advance if it was true or not.
Being attacked by a horde of barbarians on Twitter is by no means pleasant experience. They are usually the same people who, when they read of the tragic news of the moment on the girl who jumps out of the window because the victim of ciberstalking, fill their profiles phrases compassionate and condemnation for their tormentors. When to do the jocks against the person in view or the political shift, however, are transformed. And they become as they are to those that beset the young girl. Translated into three words, idiots raw and pure.
The decision to abandon Twitter, dear Mentone, is of little value. I can understand it. But then, as they say in Rome, "there are or there are nun, you perculamo the same" . Morale. Better to remain. Blocking these profiles, one by one. Without even waste them to respond or give too many excuses. Staying is an act of force that serves to affirm the sacred right to be in the right manner. To say what you think of the many people who have the education instead of listen and interact in a socially acceptable way with us. Give in to the herd mean yield to stupidity. This contributes nothing more than to make the Web a less interesting. Restricted to only a handful of madmen with little brain and a lot of drool in his mouth.

Facebook unveils home, but do not call it "Facebook Phone"

No terminal weblog Facebook. Confirmed the rumors of the last few hours.Only a launcher for Android and a modest HTC smartphones.

In the end it went as it should go. None if it is taken too much though maybe you could hope for something more. Zuckerberg at the bottom was always clear on the subject: "no plan For That" .There is not and there will be no Facebook Phone .No direct competitor of the iPhone 5 or the Galaxy S4 or any other smartphone on the market.Nothing. Nothing like this weblog Facebook.
During the presentation, which ended recently Mark has revealed nothing more than a family of applications for Android devices. A screen calledHome with a whole host of features that put the user at the center of the smartphone. In practice, what in jargon is called "launcher" . Capiamoci.The trick only applies to Android. Why iOS imagine if you can do as you please.
Coming Home , the paradigm of classic screen applications has been turned upside down. The user first. The "App" in some way, are hidden, relegated to a secondary role. As if to say, we know that two hundred apps downloaded on average, with regularity, if you use three or four. And Facebook makes it to grand master.
